OK I am struggling a little bit with the induction phase of Atkins . Nauseous about all day and sooo thirsty with terrible taste in my mouth. I have done this diet probably 10x's since the late 70's and I had forgotten how tough the first week is. But hey I am remembering how darned great you feel once this is past. I have shied away from low carb since I got older and guess what? I have been diagnosed with insulin resistance or just say diabetes is right around the corner. So I have been researching this, my latest health challenge and guess what?? The only way to control this is to eat,,,guess how? LOW CARB!!!! I always knew my body loved it, so I feel like I am going home again, how is that for being POSITIVE. Also I had my follow up with my Ortho Dr. about a bad knee. MRI shows a slight tear in meniscus, but my biggest problem is lots of arthritis. He said he could go in and clean it up but I opted to not. I know a knee replacement is in the future but not yet so I can start my exercising again, now that I know there is no serious issues I WILL start riding my bike, swimming and using my elliptical machine. Oh and I bought a DVD , Yoga for Big Girls. I am going to move move move every day. Peace Out to all Happy Low Carb Eating
