I commend you for trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I find that looking at my fellow sparkers food logs helps me to make better choices in my daily diet. This would help especially if you are new to eating healthy by giving you ideas to meals that are less fat a more filling.

I personally feel sick when I exercise after eating too much fat, and from your food log it definitly looks like your eating too much fat. Remember that butters You fat seems to be coming from butter on bread, peanut butter, nuttella, cream sauces, tarter sauce (20g for a half tablespoon)
Over all it just looks like you are making the wrong food choices, it's great to eat lower calories over all but you are hardly eating any vegetables, and your other choices all have more nutritious versions. Those 2 oz of cheese you ate with the stuffed peppers can be replaces by a whole cup of broccoli and a cup of rice for the same amount of calories, you'd get much more food and way less fat.

JABDOLPHIN03,

Is 1600 calories what the spark software recommended for you ? That seems awfully low for your current weight. It strikes me that if you're feeling horrible, it may be a result of not eating enough.

As you lose weight, your body will need fewer calories to do the same functions you do now at your current weight. But right now, your body still needs those extra calories. So, don't cut your calories too low too quickly.

Of course, if you radically changed your diet i.e. cut out caffeine and sugar, you may be experiencing some withdrawal symptoms. That's not unusual. I had horrible headaches as I weened off diet coke. these symptoms do pass.

One thing I will recommend is that if you want to feel better, try to eat more servings of fresh fruit and veggies. For optimum health, a person needs 6-9 servings each and every day. If that seems like too much, start with 2-3 servings. if a person should over eat anything, they should overeat their veggies.

Also, veggies are loaded with fiber. foods that are high in fiber are sating and help keep you full. So, do make sure you're eating enough high fiber foods like fresh fruits, veggies, whole grain breads, beans, etc... Fiber will help curb any hunger pangs you have by keeping your blood sugar stable.

We all loose weight at different rates. Make sure that you track all of your exercise on the fitness tracker it is linked with the nutrition. Also make sure that you only calculate to loose one pound of weight per week so that the nutrition tracker gives you enough Calories and then exercise to loose any additional weight.

If you are tracking your nutrition figure out what is causing your higher fat levels and try to find substitutions. One thing that helps me is drinking 8 glasses of water before any other beverage i.e. soda and eating lots of vegetables and whole grains before you eat unhealthy foods. If you are full of healthy foods you tend to eat less junk food. If you are just starting out on exercising take it slow. If you aren't feeling better with the change in eating habits and exercise try to add things in slowly. Change one of two items and work with those until they are habit. Slower changes might take longer but they will stick better in the end.

I hope some of that helps. I've started to eliminate mayo on sandwiches and I don't really even notice the difference of it not being there but it saves Calories and Fat especially at places like subway and jimmy johns.

JABDOLPHIN03,

It isn't too uncommon to lose a little more weight the first few weeks after starting a new eating/exercise program. Are you eating within the calorie range SparkPeople has generated for you based on your activity level.

Looking over your shared nutrition tracker it appears you are eating a lot of cheese, creams and mayonnaise. Maybe swapping for lighter versions will help.

Nancy

This week I have lost 3 lbs, but I feel horrible!!! I've been eating around 1600 calories and exercised 5-6 times on an exercise bike. Am I doing too much and not eating enough calories? Also my fat intake is consistently 20g over is this a problem and what do I do to get it down to where it should be?
