Drink when you are thirsty. Forcing extra fluid is of no benefit. And for someone who does retain water with a higher salt intake---it can take 3-5 days to get a "true" body weight reading again. Give it time.
I'm really sensitive to salt, drink plenty and beware weighing in tomorrow as you may be bloated and carrying extra water weight.

I don't add salt to any of my food because the ingredients in it usually have plenty. I've grown to dislike the taste of salt. My school is usually pretty good about not putting too much salt in their food, but tonight there was so much salt in the mashed potatoes, I thought they tasted horrible. But I ate them anyway because they tasted good underneath the salt. It's been about a half hour and I feel really icky and bloated. I'm guessing I just have to drink a lot of water and wait it out, huh?
