I work all week teaching, then all weekend working on teaching and grading. I don't want to do the housework with the little time I have. I'm spending my free time on eating right and getting in some excerccise. I also have a dog that sheds, so I have to vacuum every few days. I do think it's easier to be organized and productive when my house is clean and neat.

We have two shedding dogs, so it is an ongoing vaccuuming session! I do find Laundry very theraputic in a strange way.....always a sense of accomplishment......can't say the same when picking up dog poop everyday

Siren- this last summer, our deep freeze in the garage went out... nasty bloody mess, We mainly had meats out there (my husband hunts). So we lost a lot of perfectly good food too. We bought a new one back in October... and he got a deer this season.. so we are slowly stocking back up!

Just the name of this thread made me shudder! Yesterday, our fridge/freezer broke down and I spent a good part of the evening throwing out food and cleaning up congealed blood. NOT pleasant, and what a waste of perfectly good food! :(

No, not as much maintenance on a new home.

I live in a little old RV by myself. It's kind of falling apart, enough that dust is always blowing in through various seams, so that's not something I obsess about. I'm the only one who sees it most of the time! When I clean I listen to books that I get from the library. Also when I work out and when I crochet.

I've been trying really hard to do one or two things every day so that on the weekends I don't have quite as much to do. I don't get things done everyday, but most days I manage something. For me that just seems to work better.

It seems as though my house is /never/ clean. As soon as I do one room, my daughter insists on messing it right back up. Doesn't help that we've all been sick for the last month. I look at the mess, and it's overwhelming... I need a maid.

I spent all morning cleaning. Just getting caught up on stuff from everyone being sick. I did make progress.

I find making a list and crossing things off as I go helps. I also play music.

I have the same problem when it comes to cleaning. What I do is crank up the music and make a dance party out of it :)

I feel that there is always too much housework in my home. Part of the reason is that we homeschool so we're home most days (not always of course) and that contributes to the constant mess.

*sips my cup of motivation*

I'm going to finish my cup of motivation, get on the bike, and then get cracking on the housework, too. Well, I did start washing clothes/blankets, at least.
