Rather, you are burning more calories than is set out in your Exercise Goals (and Spark takes your Goals into account in coming up with an intake recommendation). This is easily fixed - just update your Exercise Goals (accessible from the LH side of the Start page) to more accurately reflect what you burn in a typical week. Zorbs suggestion of using the a weekly total of calories burned, rather than Spark's minutes and days assumptions, is a good one.

That's an amazing idea. To have a better idea of what I'm burning will allow me to make more realistic goals. I never really thought about it, but I will be searching for one now

would it be possible to invest in a heart rate monitor? That way, you can get a bit more accurate reading and know if you need to adjust your calorie range.
I have found that the fitness tracker grossly over estimates the calories burned the more over weight you are.
When I weighed 240 pounds, it said I would burn 300 calories on an elliptical workout, when in reality, I burned maybe half of that.

If you have not adjusted your calories burn goal or fitness minutes you will want to do so by going to your Start Page by clicking on the change link next to your calories burn goal. As to whether your calorie range will change depends on other factors, but you do want to make sure you are eating enough to support your activity.

I'm pretty sure that when I log in my fitness minutes, the number is inflated. With that being said, if I start a workout plan on Sunday, by Tuesday, the number of calories I am burning will be too high and I will have a little red paragraph at the bottom of my fitness page warning that my caloric burn will make my goals harder to reach. Because it seems like I am burning a whooole lot because I weigh 248. I am highly energetic, I love to jog, and my workout plan is currently Jillian Michaels Banish Fat... 3 days a week, and 20-30 minute workouts the other two days. I am also strength training. AM I actually doing something wrong? Keep in mind that I am 23, and I probably burn more calories anyways. Thanks You! Any help and advice is very appreciated!
