The way I understand it, some of the ads are run by outside programs like google. The site they are appearing on can create filters, more or less, that allow certain types of ads but not others, but they don't specifically choose the ads one by one. Things that the site might not actually want to promote occasionally slip through. The ads that appear are also tailored by google's algorithms (based on your search history and such), which are sometimes too comprehensive for their own good.

Other ads, like the Welch's juice ad, are paid for by companies to have a specific feature on the site.

Coach Jen how can an add get on SP site without authorization? It shows up in the feed to the right. I've seen it like 3x already. Thanks!

I'd save your money and stick with a healthy diet and regular exercise. Anytime you see an ad like that, please report it to Those aren't the kind of ads we want on the site.

Hi! Has anyone tried this product called Tonlin? I've been seeing it advertised a lot lately; I even saw here on SP. I was going to buy some but wanted to ask around first. Thanks in advance!
