I just had my first day a couple of weeks ago, one of many first days, I also came up with a plan. Right now it's just dieting stuff and I am going to gradually add a day or two or three of exercise. I keep busy with lots of house and yard stuff.
I am doing one major thing differently, I only weigh in once a week; I also measure my waist then too.
Previously I would weigh myself everyday and it would stress me out. I looked at everyday as a mass challenge and for me that was not a good idea. I didn't really look at losing weight weekly, I looked at it daily. Daily is bad for me because I would see my failures daily and it would bring me down; and my weight didn't really change.
Now I look at it as a weekly thing and my weight loss has been steady, 7 lbs so far. I am actually happy if I lose 1 or 2 lbs. a week because it's weight gone and if I can keep it that steady it will add up and it has so far.
For me slow and steady wins the race. I now try not to have the biggest loser mind set and it really helps. It's not realistic to want to drop 10+ lbs a week, but I use to think that and it brought me down. Just keep doing what you're doing and you will get there... I know it.
