I've struggled with this one a bit myself. I also know that all the good choices I do make add up over time. Now I am more pragmatic about the slip ups and do my best to let them be fewer than the successes.

And for me, as long as I've portioned and accounted for something like chips, it's completely not ruined.

Well said. "Just because I make one poor choice, MY DAY IS NOT RUINED."

So true. I am going to remember that.

I have been trying to remind myself "I am not having a bad day. I am having a bad moment in a good day."

Now that's the way to "accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative". Being more positive about your day will help you become a healthier person inside and out.

This post should belong to the WOO HOO board, not panic board : )). You seem to have the right attitude..

Have you heard of the quote:
“Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Keep positive thoughts that you can do this and you will find yourself acting towards that. If you think, today is not so important, I don’t have to be on track then tomorrow never comes. Good Luck... emoticon

You're doing just fine! Try focusing on all the positive steps you made and use the one poor choice as a learning experience. You can do this!

I find it hard to go more than one day without binge eating or at least overeating. I always convince myself, "today won't matter, you'll just do better tomorrow" and basically give myself a free pass.

I struggle with feeling defeated and weak. But I HAVE to remember just because I make one poor choice, MY DAY IS NOT RUINED. Though I am at the top, I am still within my ranges for calories, protein, fats, and this day is a success. Yes, I ate some chips, but today is NOT RUINED and that is not an excuse to follow up with more unhealthy choices.

This day is NOT ruined. Maybe if I say it enough I will eventually take it to heart.
