I have a morning routine because I don't like mornings. Usually washing my face/shower wakes me up. Followed by a protein smoothie.

I normally do workout for an hour in the morning. Just didn't have time this morning cause I stayed the night somewhere else. I would love to go for a walk at lunch but it's pouring cats & dogs today. I like the rubber band on the wrist thing. I will try that.

oh - and if getting plenty of sleep and still feeling tired is a recurring problem for you, please check with your dr. Sleep apnea can be very dangerous and you may not know if you have it.

if you have a conf room or something you can go to for a few minutes, try some jumping jacks. Or just get up and walk around a bit. You can also try splashing your face with cold water.

if none of those are possible, put a rubber band or elastic around your wrist; pull it back and snap the inside of your wrist a few times. That's what I do when I'm in a meeting and feeling drowsy.

I find a short workout helps to get the blood flowing in the morning. I like taking a walk before work, but you might try one of Coach Nicole's 10-15 minute workouts if you don't have time for a DVD or trip to the gym. For now, you might have a short walk at lunch to get in some extra activity.

I got a good night sleep but for some reason I am extra tired today. I already drank 4 cups of water. I am work already so I can't go exercise. What tips to you have to help you wake up other then coffee or energy drinks?
