CONGRATULATIONS!

What a great blog.

I know EXACTLY how you've felt - both when deciding to not put yourself in the picture and deciding to put yourself in the picture. So glad you're at the latter stage.

And remember - people ALWAYS think that someone they love is beautiful. Don't you?

Your message struck a note with me and many others, I am sure. So glad you have reached your goals. Keep that Spark glowing and you will maintain. While it is great to look nice, the health is so much more important. You can motivate others which in turn is motivating for you.

Celebrate LIFE! Someday you won't be a complete family picture, someone will be missing ~ So take all the complete family photos when you can!

And yes, celebrate the new healthier version of you. You are right, the people who judge don't matter, and the ones who love and you want to see you are the only ones who matter!

Yes! You SHOULD be in the picture with or without the 81 pounds but most definitely and expecially WITH that kind of accomplishment you should celebrate with a family picture!

You should also post it on your Sparkpage!!!!

WARRIORWOMAN81, what a great Christmas story! And regarding sending only pictures of your kids in past years, your friends will be SO HAPPY to see a picture of you! Truth be told, when I get a Christmas picture of just the kids that does not include a picture of my friend, I am SORELY disappointed. Believe me, your friends will jump for joy at the sight of you!

Spark On!

That is so wonderful! I bet it's a terrific picture. You are so right that your friends will be happy to see you - no matter what you weigh. But BIG congratulations on loosing 81 pounds! emoticon

We used to send photo cards that showed the entire family since we have moved so often that we have friends and family that don't see us often. For the past 5 years, I managed to convince my husband that we could just send pictures of the kids because "that's who people really want to look at, right?" I was so heavy, compared to how I had always been, that I was ashamed to send out a picture of myself. This year, 81 pounds lighter, we are sending a full family photo. Plus, no matter how I look next year (though I hope it is the same!), I am sending out another complete family picture because those who love me want to see all of us and those who would judge---probably didn't like the picture of the kids that I used to send anyway! I like my present weight and fitness but now I know that I am worth more than a number on a scale!
