I have to admit that i was surprised to see that subject line, as I've been stuck on a plateau in the 220s for quite some time! But then I read the whole thing and felt pretty inspired. Good job and keep up the good work!
And so you should be happy, this weight loss thing is sometimes a hard slog BUT we just gotta keep trying and one day we'll be a weight we are happy with :) Well done and keep doing a happy dance x

Well done, keep it up. I think it is a struggle for all of us - very easy to slip back into old ways but too much to lose by doing so. A healthy lifestyle is so much more satisfying and rewarding. So many more things you can do, like feeling our hip bone!

Thank you for your post!! I needed to remember that this is my lifestyle, not a 'diet'. I was starting to forget and letting myself 'start again tomorrow'. That is the death knell for weight loss!! I must think BEFORE I put any bite of food in my mouth and not wait until 'tomorrow' to reclaim my life. I am proud of what you have done and am going to keep doing what I have done over the past year, one bite at a time, one step at a time, one day at a time, each and every day until I reach my goal and then continue living and enjoying my new lifestyle .. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! You can do it. February 2010 I weighed 256 lbs, with hard work, perseverance and seeing it come off, I now weigh 105 lbs. Believe me if I can drop weight, you can!! Keep up the fantastic work you are already doing!!!!

first off, WOOHOO! I do know that feeling so well! And you know that feeling you have now, it only gets better and better as more weight comes off...ride that feeling through and keep it with you through those tough times. I started at 330 and now maintain at 145...over half of what I weighed! It's so hard but you are so worth it!
I, also, am at the 220 mark on the way back down. Like you, I am trying to take it one small step at a time. Thanks for letting me know that I really am not in this boat alone. I'm hoping that my paddling will not seem like it's upstream this time.

I lost 1.4 lbs this week and..... I'm back in the 220's. That sounds like a weird reason to be happy, but when I first hit 220 on the way up. I was so depressed. I put a cap on my weight not to go over the 220's, but I did by almost 20 lbs. That was the final straw so when I get out of the 220's (and I'm going to beat the number down) I'm really going to be doing the happy dance. Ooo also I have found a hip bone. Seriously I forgot I had those. I am really freakin happy right now. My only hope is that I can continue implementing the changes I've made for myself. This weight loss thing really is a mental challenge for me more than a physical. I've been fighting myself for years going on diet after diet this time I am NOT on a diet. I'm taking it one day, one week, one pound at a time. Good luck all of yall this week.
