Hi Lizzy and welcome to Spark. When I have my gandkids at the house and can't get to the gym, I put on my favorite music and we all dance. This is a great way to spend quality time, make fun memories, and get your physical activity in. Spark also has short fitness videos that you can use when time is limited. Best of luck on reaching all of your goals. You can do this! emoticon !

We all have them, don't we? The dress that doesn't fit right anymore. The cute jeans that won't button. The top that your tummy bulges out underneath. For me, it's a designer suit that has me motivated this year. It's a beautiful, black designer suit with skirt that was given to me about five years ago. It fit this time two and a half years ago, when I first became pregnant with my son. Now the skirt won't even think about zipping. I'm 5'2 and at 161. I'm not obese, but have decided that I'm not going to let myself get to that point. I want to take back my health, but it's hard. I have two kids (7 and 1 1/2), I work part time, and I'm a nursing student, so spare time is minimal. I don't have the money for a gym membership, it is 5 degrees out this morning, and I live in a very tiny apartment with next to no extra space to exercise indoors. Nonetheless, I don't want to continue to use excuses like these as crutches. My goal weight is currently 135; I want to fit back in that suit by June. Getting started and maintaining momentum- that's the hard part for me.
