Love handles do have their perks.

As everyone is saying you can't spot reduce...so sounds to me like you are doing great and should keep on truckin and hopefully you will see those love handles go down with everything else!

abs are built in the kitchen by what you eat. so love handles will come off by eating right.

Unfortunately, targeted workouts will not reduce the fat on your body where you want it to. All the ab work in the world will not get rid of a pooch, nothing can nuke love handles, no tricep workouts will target bat wings.

Fat loss is a total body process. Continue doing whole body strength training, and over time you will see results. "Toning" is a marketing buzz word that lies to us! All those late night informercials promising that you can whittle away your belly if you just buy their product? A big old fib.

So don't worry about those love handles. They'll come off when they come off, and not a moment before.

Your body will pick where the fat comes off from. At a size two, I still have some jiggle on my abdomen. You can't spot reduce the area. You can do ab exercises to strengthen your core, but it will not make the area look any smaller. Only continued fat loss will do that. I love Pilates inspired ab workouts. I'm also enjoying the 30 Day Six Pack Abs workouts on the YouTube channel BeFit.

I have lost 34 lbs and I have dropped 3 dress sizes. I can see the change in my body, my clothes no longer fit and I am so excited about that...BUT...I can not get rid of my Love handles. I do 2 days of circuit training (whole body workout) and 3 days of cardio (usually treadmill)...I can see the results but I am also looking for a workout that is specific to the mid section. Any ideas or suggestions? I still have 65 lbs to lose and I know that if I started to see my stomach getting tightened and toned it will be a huge accomplishment and give me even more motivation.
