I think Walmart has Champion brand or Danskin that offer a similar product to Spanx. Good luck with your 5k - that is awesome!!!

I need something too - my workout pants fit perfectly until I get on the treadmill. Then they are sliding down and I'm yanking them up the entire time I'm running. ARGH!

I have the same problem with my chest area. SO PAINFUL! I feel like every part of my body is jiggling around when I am running, but the belly and chest are definitely the worst.

Also - so cool that you signed up for a 5K!!! I can run 3.1 miles now, but I still haven't signed up. I'm still too intimidated. Good for you!!!

I use compression shorts. I never thought about it helping keep the tummy from jiggling, but I guess it does. I got them to prevent chafing.

Spanx or anything like it can do the trick. I have leggings that provide enough support so anything that "holds' your body can work.

Yeah, Spanx is ridiculous. I have compression capris. I think they are by Champion.

Way to go on signing up for a 5K! emoticon

Hi everyone! So, I've taken the plunge and signed up for my first 5k. While I've been exercising for quite some time, I'm really amping it up right now to get ready for the run. The problem I'm having is my tummy fat when I sprint, my tummy jiggles so violently that it's actually painful. I've thought of purchasing some Spanx to hold it in while I workout - but that brand is quite expensive. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if you've found a particularly good brand of compression gear or a good store to find some. I'm a size 18/20.
