I am going to try a couple of things this Thanksgiving
1) smaller plates
2) smaller serving utensils
Let's see how that works... :)

I will be having 3 Thanksgiving meals in one week! I had one today, one on Thanksgiving, & one next Sunday. I have 2 strategies. 1. Exercise as much as possible. 2. Don't stuff myself. Also I plan to help with the clean up at my Mom's so I'm not just sitting around.
I agree - Thanksgiving problems for me are with deserts, not the meal, so my suggestion is to get a very, very small portion of what ever - one or two bites at the most, eat those and then go for a walk, play with the kids, or if you have to stay in the house, keep a glass of water in your hand. Good luck and pray for me too!

I agree with Luann...it's the whole pic, not just the one day.....SP suggests that you balance out the pending 'binge' with moderate pre/post planning. Just keep Sparkin'!!!

No reason some turkey, potatoes, salad and pie can't fit into a healthy lifestyle.

I am wondering how you have handled Thanksgiving while trying to eat healthy. I am tormented by the very thought of getting off track. Last year, I was on a healthy eating cycle, and sure enough, Thanksgiving came and I caved completely and was worse the days following. What can I do to help myself stay focused on healthy eating this year? I just started and I am eating lots of raw vegetables, cooked veggies, soy based meats or very lean meats and egg whites. How can I fit this into Thanksgiving?
