There are many forms of communication and IMHO seeing levels beyond our own time and place is a plane that some can access. I have had dreams, recorded them and then had that experience later, exactly as dreamed. I have had a number of psychic readings and some have been good observations, insightful general advise and others have aroused affirmations in their spot on accuracy. I have witnessed psychic healing that defies 'rules' I have assumed to be iron clad. I think there are possibilities beyond our imaginations. emoticon

No, that's something I wouldn't want to get involved with. I think usually we're better off not knowing the future and I think these things can, potentially, be harmful. My mum, who died at the age of 82, once went to a fortune teller for 'fun'. She was told she would die at the age of 62. However much you tell yourself you don't believe in it, that kind of thing can mess you up especially when you're between 61 and 63!

I've never had a reading done but it'd be fun to do, imo.

I'd never spend money on Tarot cards or psychic readings, but do believe some people have a sixth sense. My father told me his mother always knew when something bad had happened to one of her children. Maybe you'd call it a parent's intuition.

Don't believe in them. I went a psychic for the fun of it 15 or so years ago and what a joke biggest waste of money.

I won't have anything to do with it. Who wants to know the future anyway?

I like to do Tarot readings for fun. I don't believe that people are actually "psychic" but those who choose that profession are more insightful than most people. They do tend to have the ability to put themselves in people's shoes and think like many different people. It's because they are attentive and detail oriented. However, they do not have magical powers. When I was engaged to my boyfriend of 5 years, I went to see a psychic for fun. But I removed my engagement ring because I didn't want her to assume anything about me. She told me that I was single and had been for a long time and that I was sad and looking for somebody. What this probably tells you is that most likely, she could tell I used to wear a ring and was no longer wearing it.

Not psychic, just attentive.

I don't believe in psychics but I know ESP exists (50 years ago, someone guessed the card I was looking at, over the phone...even though we where miles away...what are the odds?). That was pre video cams. Don't know if the 2 are related

I think 'psychics' can do a reading which generically fits most people and see by your body language if they are going in the right direction. Then I think people who believe that stuff, live up to the suggestions placed there by the 'reading', and credit what happens to the psychic.

I think you should decide how you want your life to go, figure out how to do those things, change your life, and keep going. We create our destiny with the choices we make.

Having played around with tarot cards in high school when a bunch of my friends were going through a new age/wicca phase, they only have as much meaning as YOU choose to assign them. People who do readings professionally are *very* skilled at reading body language, attire, and tone of voice to judge their clients and give them the reading that the clients want to hear.

No I have not. And I never will. I have friends and family that think the Long Island Medium is the best thing since sliced bread. I don't agree.

Most mediums are really frauds that are able to read people and manipulate the situation.
If they have a true gift for such things. Then I am worried about opening doors to the other side that cannot be closed.

Has anyone here had a Tarot card reading or psychic reading lately?

I had a Tarot card reading done a couple of years ago, and it was really insightful. I'd like to get another one done but everyone who does that in my area charges like $60 for a session, so it's mighty costly.

Never had a psychic reading done, somehow seeing the cards validated the cost for me... but I do really believe in these things very much.
