I've been weighing in daily. Although it has only been a week I already find Sparkpeople easier to use andmore motivating than Weight Watcher's online. It feels more REAL to count calories than to track points that do not include calories in their calculation. Perhaps this is because I have this recording in my head of a doctor telling me, "It's not rocket science. Weight loss is calories in vs calories out. You have to eat less and exercise more." Whatever it is, I've lost 4 lbs since joining sparkpeople and feel more motivated than in a long time. That's not to say my motivation doesn't fluctuate. One thing I'm learning though is to develop the "Do it anyway" mindset. There are many activities I do throughout the day to take care of my house, job or others that are not necessarily fun but need to be done. Why not make my health a priority?
