It takes someone pretty fit and exercising vigorously to burn 800 calories in 1 hour. I think the 1800 figure can be safely discarded.

500 is far more likely.

I like this calculator because it lets you account for your distance instead of by time. I think swimming is somewhat like walking/running that distance matters more than time for calories burned. http://www.swimmingcalculator.com/swim_cal

Does anyone know what the difference is between swimming and swimming general on the fitness tracker? Swimming states i burned about 500 calories while swimming general states i burned about 1800 calories.
