Glad I found this thread. After hearing about the mobi dri towel on here, I tried it for myself. All I can say is that it's perfect for what I was looking for. Their waterproof splitter and the stretch loop sold it for me. Got mine on Amazon. You can get to their products on Amazon by going to their web site -

Highly recommend

As an alternative to spending a lot you can get a microfiber towel at Dollar Tree or a camping towel at a camping store, add a grommet to one corner and snap a caribiner ($.98 at Home Depot) and make your own for about $2 or$3.

I bought the Mobi Dri running towel from too. It's awesome! I use it mostly after my run, but it's nice to have it right there with me. I used to have the major issue of sweat in my eyes, but mostly after I stopped running. I Highly recommend it.

I remembered seeing this topic when I heard about a new towel that's coming out. Looks awesome!

Hey guys, I've been running almost every week. I told you guys I would let you know if I made the correct decision in buying the Swowel. Well I did! I love the sweat towel I bought. It works perfect and I found it for under $20. I have seen them in some stores also. Took me a few runs to get the hang of taking it off and on without having to stop running. Now I can use it to wipe my sweat and I don't even hardly slow down. My mom walks about 4 times a week and she loved mine so much she had to get her one. The part I like the most is not having to hold, carry or tuck it anywhere. Once it's clipped on its there, you can't even tell your wearing it. The reflective strip is very handy. I've walked a few times at night and used it solely for its reflectivity. Overall I am very pleased with the product. Thanks again for all the feedback. emoticon

Guess I am confused a bit by why something attached to the waist is better than something tucked into a waist band. In my opinion terry cloth is not a viable choice since cotton retains water so once wet ti stays wet. I would tend to go with something microfiber or use one of my rapid drying camping towels. I am cheap so I would reverse engineer the Swole and make my own with a microfiber towel from Dollar Tree and a ribbon to tie it on. A simple sweatband will keep the sweat out of the eyes which is my only complaint when running in the heat.

I went ahead and purchased the Swowel emoticon . I will keep you guys posted. I should get it by mid next week. I am very excited. I have read a few more reviews and it seems to be a really nice sweat towel. And it meets all my needs since I don't want to carry anything. And as for the tucking, not so sure I would like that. The Swowel does have to be taken off to use it but I read that you can keep it on and just us it to keep your hand dry, so then when you wipe your forehead it takes away the sweat. Thank you guys for all the feedback. I will let you know how it goes.

I just tuck a wash cloth in my bra strap.

I wear a hat... it took some time for me to get used to it, because of the itchy factor. I found if the hat is tight enough - no itch, and no sweat in the eyes... plus if you are in AZ (where I used to live), a hat will help protect your skin from the sun somewhat.

So, you have to unclip the belt every time you want to use it? I just tuck a small towel into my waist band. Easy to grab, easy to put back. Zero cost and if I loose it, so what. It was a crud towel from my cut up stash.

Thanks guys for replying. I have tried hats several times but I have very think hair and a hat holds to much heat in. It drives me crazy, plus my forehead starts itching. I know sweating is a good thing, I'm not complaining about sweating. I am one of those who has to wipe my forehead like every 5 mins so I have to carry a sweat towel, but I just hate having to carry it, even if it is small. I think I am going to buy the Swowel sweat towel and just try it. I did more research on it and it looks like it just came out this year. So there isn't many reviews on it. I will keep you guys informed on whether or not I like it. Still if anyone is out there who has one please let me know if you like it. I love the idea that I won't have to carry it but will have it when I need it. Thanks guys.

a hat works just fine for me. 2 brands you might look into: halo and headsweats.

I usually just let myself sweat but that's because I hate carrying (in my hands or a belt) anything with me, even water. And if you're set on buying a towel, I certainly wouldn't spend $17.99 on it! I purchased some small bar towels at Target for gym use. And they work fine.

Sweating helps you stay cool. :) Like the PP, I wear a hat to keep the sweat out of my eyes, but otherwise, the clothes I wear take care of the rest.

I wear a hat a lot on runs and it does a pretty nice job of keeping the sweat at least out of my eyes. The rest of it? Don't care; I'm outside, so what does it matter if I'm dripping anywhere? :)

I just joined Spark People and really love it so far. I am trying to get back into shape after having two kids. I love being outdoors and just started back running with some friends. It is very hot where I live with temps getting up near 100 so on long runs I really sweat a lot. I have been looking for exercise gear to make it more convenient to run. I need a good sweat towel to use when I run. I always run in a tank top made from wicking material so I can't use my shirt. I have been researching them on Amazon and found one called Swowel. It's a sweat towel that you wear so you won't have to carry it. Can anyone give me any feedback on this running accessory? I have spent a ton of money so far on shoes and clothes and I don't want to waste money. It seems like a fantastic product because I hate to have anything in my hands when I run. Please let me know your thoughts if you own one on the quality, comfort and if it's worth the money. It's the Swowel Sweat Towel. I have to buy something soon.
