Houston hit a new high for many many days over 100. The weather man said we might be in the 90's soon. I hope so!

If I exercise outside,it's very early in the morning or night when the sun is gone, otherwise I'll go to the gym emoticon

Hi Cassie..
My son has a wii fit and never uses it..he got EA sportsactive for his playstation and LOVED much that we went out and got one..and then my daughter did too!! i think you can get the ea sportsactive for wii also, if you have a wii. but i highly recommend it to can use their trainers and routines or make up your own. (i can ONLY walk, so i use the step aerobics and do them 3-4 times to get in my cal burn on days its too nasty or hot to walk)

i live in houston, where it has been over 100 for 30 days. we broke the record. anyways its been hard for me to do anything outside, but im planning on going swimming today and do some laps. this weekend im going to try and figure out the right time to go walking. and hopefully get started on a routine. I am really thinking of getting a WII fit anyone else use a WII for exercise? do you feel like it really works you out ?

I do my workouts inside year round (except for the bike ride/hike on weekends) so heat isn't much of a factor...until my AC broke that is!

I have heart issues, and the heat this summer has been relentless. I finally bought a treadmill. I figure it will be good for the bad winter months also. My body would love to live in San Francisco rather than Georgia.

ready for some cooler temps

Has been 100 or greater daily this month. Ride bike 1 o 1.5 hours almost every day. Do it early am or most often 1 hour before sunset and drink lots of water and gateraide (average 45 ounces) Anxiously waiting for cooler weather.

i am terribly bothered by the heat. I generally walk 3 miles a day, but when its really hot i cant, so i swim in our round, aboveground pool. sometimes its walking...against the current. others its breaststroke or crawl. i spend hours in there.
if i cant get in the pool? i flip on the a/c in my living room and do easportsactive or a 3 mile walk with leslie sansone...

Do you workout in the heat?

I generally like to conduct my workout outside but sometimes in the summer it is just too hot to doing anything outside when I get done with work at 4 p.m.

What I try to do is get my workout in very early but sometimes I have to be to work at 6 a.m. so that means I have to get up and out of the house by 4:15! Yikes that's early.

My other option is to go at 9 p.m. once the heat of the day has cooled off. That's not a bad option but limits where I can go since I generally like to stay in lighted areas.

So what are your thought?
