Just checking in...
I'm eating low carb and losing very quickly my first few days. It's amazing how that works. I have a feeling I will come to a hiatus very soon.

Weiging in every Monday. Well I really weigh everyday, but I'm going to post it on Mondays.

I'm feeling pretty good. I really want to hit my goal weight by summer. Then I only have 20 more lbs until the 100's. Woot!

It looks like everyone is doing a good job! Keep up the good work.

hey all checking in! I havent weighed myself yet I want to go a month before I do that and my measurements... but I am proud because (I know it is only Wednesday) but so far this week I have been on track with my eating & working out. it is the little things right?
looks like everyone is doing great I have my goals posted at work & home which really seems to help. Lets get this weight off everyone!

I am ready. I so need motivation to keep me on track. Last month I started over, and gained in the beginning. I increased strength training and my exercise. So this month I am hoping it will all even out. I would like to lose 15lbs.

Hi!

I am brand new here at Sparkpeople, this is my first post.

A little bit about me:
I live in Los Angeles and teach middle school. I have been eating healthy and exercising for a year now, lost 65 lbs.

My goal for this challenge would be reach my final goal of 145 and maintain in a 4 lb range (143-147). All that while traveling, visiting my family in Eastern Europe.

I plan to reach my goal by tracking calories here on Sparkpeople daily, eating within my calorie range at least 5 days a week, and working out at least 4 days a week, 2 days of weights (following the New Rules of Lifting for Women plan), 2 days of cardio, at least 30 minutes.

Whew! That sounds like a lot. In a nutshell:

SW: 149.2
CW: 149.2
GW: 145, then 143-147 range

Means to get there:
track daily
within calories 5/7 days
exercise 4 days a week

Weighed in yesterday! Lost .6 pounds, which means I'm right on track to lose 5 pounds in 10 weeks! Hopefully my plans won't be derailed when I go to Colorado this weekend...

@Knicely-I don't think 2 pounds a week is unhealthy-just following the SPARK fast break I dropped about 8 pounds in 3 weeks-I think it depends more on your own body and how much effort and time you have to give the program.

I would love to loose 20 lbs by the end of June also, but i worry that i would not lose it in a healthy way. I keep hearing a pound a week is the best way to go.

Not too bad of a day...

Despite feeling lazy - I made it to the gym for some strength training.

Tracking my food and so far within my calories.

I also went to the library today and got some magazines - maybe I'll pick up some great tips for weight loss and exercise and some extra motivation.

Yes, I am in!

SW - 211.8 as of 3/10 (232 was original start about a year ago)
CW - 195.6
GW - 180.6 by June 24th (10 Fridays away!)

I plan on doing this by:
1. Staying within my calorie range
2. Doing aerobic exercises 5 times per week
3. Strength training 2-3 times per week

My goal is 10-15 lbs.

My main goal is to track my food and nutrition. I lose best when I not only stay within my calorie range but am in all my ranges for carbs, sodium, calcium, etc.

I also want to get the most of my gym time. I go every morning before work but sometimes I'm so sleepy that I go easy on myself. So I need to really get my 8 hours of sleep in!

Suppose to snow here in Minnesota.
Not sure what the topic of the day is. but I will get back on track today with journaling and work on getting some exercise in. I wont be weighing in on tops scale till the 28th. so have 2 weeks to work and get those numbers to go down. I plan on meausuring my self today so can watch those inches go down too. I may join tops and will check out the y too.

I will work on making a menu and following it. I will get some form of exercise in 1 min or more just to get started. I will increase my water intake. these are my goals for rest of April

This saturday is memorial for Helen my aunt. More packing for friday and sunday. Need to make phone calls extra but seems not enough time at least when places are opened.

I'm in! I would love to lose some before summer begins. I'm working on training for a triathlon and want to feel confidant running in a sports bra. Hopefully I'll get the motivation to start running (never been a fan of it...)

Welcome!!! You guys are setting some great goals!! How do you plan to work towards them? Lola, I wish I had nice weather to do more activities outside, but I try and walk 2-3 times a week.

Well today was my day off from exercising and I'm not as sore as I was. Tomorrow it's back to working out probably for about an hour.

I would like to join this challenge. I'd like to lose 10 pounds by summer; more would be great, but at 10 weeks that's a pound per week, and more than I usually manage to accomplish. Now that the weather is getting nicer, it is easier and more pleasant to do things outdoors, so I'm hoping that will make it easier to increase my activity level.

Summer is 10 weeks away (June 21) and I’m ready to set some new goals. Who is with me?? We can use this thread to track our goals and support one another. Tell us a little about yourselves, what you goal/s are and how you plan to achieve them.

My name is Amanda and it has been about 6 months since I’ve exercised and I need to get back into it. My sister is getting married in October and I want to be in shape. My goal for June is to lose 5 lbs and tone up. Before I stopped exercising 6 months ago, because of school, I was doing Turbo Jam and Chalene Extreme, which I loved. This time around I am going to be doing Turbo Fire. I got it as a Christmas gift but haven’t used it, so I am excited to get started. This week I am doing turbo jam to get my body ready since I haven’t worked out in a while and I am sore, but love the feeling of soreness from a good workout.

Who is ready to challenge themselves to get fit for summer?
