Would you please revisit your "Main Category" selections on the SparkRecipes.com Recipe Calculator?
I almost never find a category that matches what I'm making. If I put up a recipe, for example, for a multi-grain porridge, there's nothing for "Whole Grains" or "Grains," so I have to use "Vegetarian." While it certainly is a vegetarian dish, I wouldn't necessarily look in that category if I were looking for a recipe.
I eat lamb. The categories for animal proteins are "Beef and Pork" or "Poultry" or "Fish." There's no option for lamb, venison, elk, moose, goat or any other meat. Last time I checked none of those were cow or pig.
There's not really a category for vegetable dishes that aren't necessarily vegetarian, but aren't quite side dishes either. That's not quite as big a problem as the grains and meat issues.
You require a Main Category selection, which I assume is meant to be helpful in sorting through recipes. It would be wonderful if there were enough thought given to the choices to make it as helpful as I think you want it to be.
