Actually SP does have a diabetic plan, and I'm working with my nutrionist and endochronologist with the diet. It was difficult at first because my blood sugars dropped quite a bit so I'm taking a lot less insulin.
My nutitionist actually suggested this website.

Definitely cross-reference what SP recommends with a medical professional. Managing your diabetes has to be the top priority, the rest will come into place as you go.

Since you are a Type 1 diabetic I would recommend that you work with your diabetic educator or dietician on your protein/calorie/carb needs. What is suggested on here doesn't really take in your special diet needs.

It would be pretty restrictive to try and form each "meal" around a careful ratio of carbs/fat/protein. But at the end of the day, once all three meals and snacks are accounted for, doesn't it come approximately close? Look at the whole day, not meal-by-meal.

I don't use the suggested meals at all, personally, as they never quite jibe with what *I* want to eat.

Goal 1 - break 200 (46 pounds lost)**DONE**
Goal 2 - leave obesity behind (BMI 29.9, at 185#) **DONE**
Goal 3 - BMI = Normal (154# or less)

I try to follow the suggested carbs, calories, fat and protein for my meals. I don't understand why I get suggested meals that have double the suggested protein. This doesn't help me.
