Banana dipped in a little chocolate and frozen. You can also do this with nut butter or yogurt
Yogurt with a few sprinkles chocolate chips
Baked apple with cinnamon and sugar
Small amount of sugar cereal and milk

When I crave something sweet, I eat some raspberries with a Tbsp or 2 of Cool Whip.

Fruit is nature's dessert. Cool Whip is optional. ( 1 g sugar, 25 calories for 2 Tbsp. )

You really should find out if you are addicted to sugar. If so, you should stop consuming it, not try to use less.

OK, this is good when you are craving chocolate. Really NOT healthy, but certainly better than store-bought treats. This is a cakey brownie, not super dense.

ZUCCHINI BROWNIES

1/4 C vegetable oil
1 C sugar
1 t vanilla
1/3 C cocoa powder
1C white flour
3/4 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 C shredded zucchini (grate or pulse in blender with a tiny bit of water)*

350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes. Bake in an 8 x 8 dish.

If you should accidentally swirl in some homemade raspberry jam, it is really delicious. I do not have the nutrition info. on this...I eat a bite and foist the rest off on other people. ;)

*shredded zucchini freezes well

Actually that's what I was trying to ask. though I don't ask well, apparently.

i'm looking to MAKE my own. things i like, like you said, brownes, but healthier.

I figured there are tons of recipies here, but was curious what people had tried and liked. or invented themselves.

What about making your own treats and adding healthy elements? For example, you can make good brownies with zucchini or apple sauce in them. Pumpkin custard is pretty good for you if you go easy on the sugar.

I don't have much of a sweet tooth, especially not anymore, but when I want something like this I make myself put in the effort of cooking it at home, which slows me down. Then I freeze it, which slows me down a bit more. Or I make a smoothie with frozen berries, Splenda and milk or soy milk--cool, creamy, sweet but not actually bad for you.

Oh, what about Luna bars? The lemon ones and the chocolate protein bars are pretty good...not exactly low calorie, but if you can limit yourself to just one, they aren't too bad.

Try Josephs Cookies.
Four cookies 95 calories, they are sugar free and they have lemon, peanut butter, chocolate etc. Even red velvet which do not like

I'm pretty much addicted to sugar. In my past life (the up down diet thing) I was the maven of either eating fake suger candy bars and other nonsense. or just saving up all my calories for sweets.

now we (doc and I) are trying a different path. Small portions of something, each day. like two mellon ball sized scoops of ice cream, or cutting cookie dough into quarter sized portions and baking ONE if i'm using the ovan.

but i also though there might be some healthier cookies/snacks I can try to add, that still give the sensation of eating sweet desert, without quite the wallup.

anyone found any good treats in the recipe section they can point me to? ones you've tried and really find "hits the sweet tooth" spot.
