I was fiddling with my Endomondo on 8/24 and saw that my fastest 5k of 37:54 was completed in March 2011, when I weighed 23 pounds heavier. I set a goal that in 30 days I would beat that time.
Yesterday I set out for my run, not intending it to be "THE" run, but I challenged myself to run until my phone told me it was 3 miles. I started the clock and began to warm up, and then started a jog. Had my dog with me and she of course had to stop and do her business a few times. Somehow, even with the walking warmup and the dog I ended up with my personal best 5k of 35:00!
Now I'm going to run again tomorrow without the dog and see if I can beat it!
