I don't understand why sorting by "newest" doesn't override those conditions...does the code not work correctly?

Also, not everyone knows exactly what they are after when looking for a recipe. Sometimes all they have is one ingredient and need some fresh ideas. It seems very limiting for your site's search function to not work the way it is presented. Everything about the interface leads one to believe that a search for one word will bring up all recipes containing that word and that the sort button will do exactly that - sort by the parameter stated.

Sorry if I am ranting; but as a web designer this sort of thing really frustrates me....

I checked on this and am told that the search is specific, so using “spinach” will not be enough to pull spinach dumplings to the top. It’s also weighted by the number of ratings. So when searching, people should be as specific as possible.

Okay, I got it to show up with a search on "spinach dumplings", but only if "dumplings" is plural and it won't show up if I just type "spinach".

How many people are going to find this if it won't show up on a general search for "spinach"?

I just searched for it and was able to find it. If you type Spinach Dumplings in the search and click search, you will see a list of items. If you then sort by newest, yours is showing on top. If you don't sort it and you just look at what comes up for Spinach Dumplings, it is listed at the bottom.

I know the FAQ says it takes up to 48 hours for a shared recipe to show up in a search of the site, but I posted my recipe almost TWO WEEKS ago and it's still not there.

The recipe is listed as "Shared" on the "My Recipes" page but when I and my friends do a search on the site it's nowhere to be found. How do I fix this?
