I am also in the same boat. Stuck for more than 6 months now. I lost my motivation and now i am really trying again. It has been one week of consistancy of working at it. I have gained one pound. So I feel your frustration. I am frustrated but not unmotivated. Hang in there
Three years ago, I lost 35 pounds and felt great. Almost a year ago to the day I was diagnosed with a chronic disorder. To get the disorder under control, I was put on extremely high doses of oral steroids, which made me balloon up and gain weight like crazy -- nearly to my original weight in less than 3 months time. I've lost about 10-15 pounds since coming off the steroids, but can't seem to get over this plateau either.
Just don't feel that you're alone, because you're not. Keep trying different strategies, but give each at least a little time to see if they work. Remember, it took time to put on the weight and it's going to take time to take the weight off. But keep up the good work!
Welcome to Spark! Congrats on your progress so far! That is fantastic! First of all, I would recommend inputting all your values into your Spark user settings on the front page - current weight, goal weight, calories burned per week, etc. This will give you an idea of your nutritional requirements, and exercise requirements - and can give you an idea of why the weight isn't coming off.
Secondly, here is a link to a 3 part article on Plateau busters that was released here on Spark - but I would recommend only taking a look at these after you have done the above:
Good luck, and enjoy everything this site has to offer!

I had a baby 15 months ago. Since then I have lost all the baby weight and an additional five pounds. I want to keep going and lose about 15 more pounds. But I am stuck! I have been within the same 3 pound range for about 3 months now. I lost the weight by walking, doing strength training and eating well. I tried to start jogging, but an old knee injury has prevented me from doing so. I am losing motivation, but I know how proud of myself I will be if I can get down to where I want to be. I definitely want to get there before trying for another baby, since I found out how hard you have to work to get the weight off! Anyone else in the same boat or have any suggestions of how to get unstuck?
If people only ate when they felt true hunger, few of us would struggle with our weight. So why (and where) are we eating so much, and what can we do about it? Start here.
