Thank you for your encouragement! I am already doing strength training. And I do know that muscle weighs more than fat and that I could be losing fat and gaining muscle. It's still discouraging standing on that scale! I feel like it is just yelling at me! I think I will take a week off the scale and increase my cardio and keep up with the weight training and hope to see something change!
I am also using a pair of jeans that are too tight right now to gauge my losses that way. I am able to button them but they cause major muffin top!
Despite all of my knowledge that this is just the way a body works, I am getting frustrated and discouraged. Is so weird what a stupid number will do to us................

Take a deep breathe. It's only been two weeks since the Super Bowl ! The weight doesn't magically drop off the minute we decide we need to lose. While a safe weekly weight loss would be 1-2 pounds, there may be weeks you don't lose. there may even be weeks when you gain ! And that doesn't mean you're doing something wrong.
IF you continue to eat right, watch your portions and get some regular exercise that includes some strength training, you will see change with time. But, you really do have to give your body time to change. Don't assume something must be wrong because you didn't lose weight for a couple of weeks. that's perfectly normal.
As the coaches all say,"trust the process".
Also, if you are not doing any strength training, I'm going to encourage you to start. Add lean muscle. Muscle burns fat and the more lean muscle you carry, the more efficient your body will be at burning fat. Don't be afraid to strength train, you will not look like a body builder if you do. adding lean muscle can help you drop 1-2 clothing sizes without a change in the scale. How would that make you feel ? That sounds pretty cool to me !
So, don't worry, you're not doing anything wrong. Weight loss is a slow steady process that takes time.
I am getting very frustrated! My boyfriend and I made the New Year's resolution to lose some weight through better eatting. We were doing great, I was down 10lbs and he was down 14. Then the Super Bowl came around and it stopped all progress for me! I gained weight, then lost it within a week and have not budged since then! My boyfriend is down 17lbs now and I am stuck. I starting working out too to try to jump start things again and now I'm gaining weight!!! HELP!!!
