The SP fat range is 20-35% of your calories coming from fat. Staying in the lower end of your fat range would be considered very low fat, especially if you are on a low calorie plan as well for weight loss. Before making changes in your program, check your fat range numbers and see if these fit with your physicians guidelines. You may also find out that the SP meal plans also work. For a more restrictive fat amount--talk more with your doctor and get a referral to see a dietitian

Go to your nutrition tracker and click the button "Change Nutrition Goals" - it's down near the bottom of the page. Now select "edit" for the fat line, and change your goal to whatever number or range your doctor recommended.

If you are using the Spark meal planners, you might have to do some adjusting to replace some of the fats with lower-fat choices. Probably since this is at your doctor's recommendation, you should nevermind about the pre-set spark meal plans, and instead follow whatever nutrition advice your doctor gave you (or get a referral to a dietitian or nutritionist, who can help you set up some suitable menus to meet your fat goals).

Hi! I just joined today and my doctor wants me on a strict low fat diet. When I joined I wasn't given a choice to pick that. I did check high cholesterol and blood pressure. Would that give me a strict low fat diet. I'm a little confused.

Thanks
Lauren
