I do not believe one can EVER get rid of stretch marks and mines do not bother me or my DUDE...I look at my marks as the battle scars of motherhood emoticon ...I have 4 sons and I earned those scars...they represent the MOST important aspects of my existance so I wear them proud ...We ALL should!! emoticon

I feel your pain. My belly looks like it was mauled by a bear after I had my son. I put lotion and Palmers, etc. on religiously when I was pregnant and I still got stretch marks. I've managed to reduce them a little so far by massaging the area with lotion at night for a few minutes and in the shower take an extra minute massaging the area with my shower pouf. I've also heard rave reviews on the scar ointments they sell, but even the generic brands can be expensive for daily use.

I'm more on the lines of BUDIES31771 - I've had four kids and don't really worry about the stretch marks - just working on getting to a healthy weight. Maybe once I'm there I'll think about it :) Good luck

I'm in the same boat, after three kids I have many many stretch marks. I try not to worry about it, I am losing the weight and feeling great and that's all that matters!!

I developed a very ugly purple stretch mark during my pregnancy, I start using this magic mixture since I was 7 months pregnant till today .
I delivered 24.Nov.2009 and I still use it till today , honestly it did wonder with me
My stretch mark are away different from the beginning they start fading and the touch is smooth that you barely feel them.

I use:
50 ml Shea butter
20 ml Cocoa butter
10 ml olive oil
10 ml wheat germ oil
10 capsules vitamin e
I mix all and heat it on a little hot water and used it every twice a day.

PS: never melt the butters and oils on microwave or gas stove directly excess heat make them loose their benefits

Real cocoa butter blended with almond oil and Vitamin E and a couple drops of lavender essential oil. Will help the skin heal itself, but they never do go away completely.

Hmmmm.....I wonder if those body wraps that are being advertised all over the place help? Anyone ever had one?

I know your struggle very well....I actually had a breakdown about this on another board a few days ago. I have really bad ones too from growing too fast (almost 6 inches in less than a year)

My derma roller just got in today.....it's a skin treatment that people seem to swear by and stretch marks are one of the many things that it helps with. I am going to try it for a few weeks and if it actually works I will let you know.

There def is ways to help them, they will always be there but it is possible to find stuff that will shrink them and fade the color.

I found this home remedy....1/4 cup aloe vera gel (I recommend the one enriched with tea trea oil & vitamins I just discovered it today and I LOVE it with a 1/2 cup of olive oil) mix it in a blender and apply once a day.

I know it sounds really weird but it actually does work. It faded mine at least 20%. I am going to start up with it again.

Hang in there!

The redness will fade, but the stretchmarks themselves will never go away. There's really nothing you can do about them. Sorry. I suppose your only option is to wear those scars with pride - as you earned them while bringing a new life into the world! :)

They will fade a bit over time, I hear.

I was terrified to get stretch marks, so I did everything I could while pregnant not to gain extra weight, and I don't have any stretch marks on my belly now.

I have always been on he heavy side but my stomach was pretty flat till I had my son and I gained 60 pounds. now I have lost the baby weight and working on losing the rest of my weight but I have these really bad stretch marks on my stomach that make it look wrinkled. I was wondering if any one who's lost their weight already had any advice on what to do about them. Thanks.
