I try to avoid stressors as much as possible... I take a job I like, be kind to my hubby, drop friends who are dramatic, and don't get busier than I want to be! aka I'm lazy, hahaha.

Exercise, for me hiking or kayaking are the bomb! They make it all go away. If that's not possible then journaling really does help identify what's really bothering you.

Walk, pray - often at the same time. Try and identify what the stress is all about and deal with it. Maybe read or watch TV to switch off.

For me, it's a matter of making an effort - and sometimes, it's a huge effort - to mentally switch gears.

If I am not working out to relieve stress, my backup plan is Crosswords. I also love to do really large puzzles.

I eat because of emotional issues that I don't know how to deal with. I will try to distract myself every time I want to eat outside of my meals and planned snacks.

Don't sweat the small stuff helps, but easier said than done, as is everything else.

Exercise does help, but I still feel stressed because my husband has Parkinson's and it is very hard to deal with. emoticon

When I walk, I'm able to clear my head and de-stress. Do something positive that you enjoy. xo

When I am on plan, and thinking rationally? I go to the gym. In the heat of the moment, I eat.

Analyze the problem, determine if anything can help then do what you have to do to resolve the situation. CALMLY.

taking time out, sitting down, having a cup of tea (usually with fruit or oatmeal), calling a friend to vent, and then thinking about how to resolve the issue.
