I used to take a weight class 3 times a week but I've gotten too focused on my cardio. Gonna make it a goal to get my strength training back in there!

For me, there is no better feeling than coming to the end of a strength training session and having that "exhausted" feeling just about all over. I don't even mind the DOMS any more, because that means I've shaken things up and my body noticed emoticon

love weight lifting....love pushing myself hard. Can see my body changing for the better. Shoulders and biceps are coming along.

good to know... I'm working hard on my arms, more for strength than beauty, and had wondered, at 69, whether I would see results.

After a hard cardio workout this morning, followed by a two hour meeting with my accountant, I came home, got my mat and weights out and did half an hour of heavy lifting.

I was sweating buckets just in that short time.

Nothing quite like it!

I always make my wife feel my arm muscles after I do upper body lifting. She chalks it up to one of the downsides of being married to me. "Yuck, you're sweaty".

Well, congratulations! Unfortunately for most of us, getting defined *anything* is more about fat loss than strength training. We ALL have a six pack under there... it's just hidden by the layers of fat on our belly. :)

Keep up the strength training... nothing makes you look and feel quite as good!
