I drink on my way to work and home. I take it whenever I get in the car. I consume more that way. I have time to think about it and nothing else to do so I drink. Great way to fit it in. Also, in the morning 8 oz. when I first wake up gets me started.

I carry a 1.25litre bottle with me everywhere I go...when I leave the house, make sure it's full and aim to drink at least 2 of these every day...at the moment I'm drinking 3 because of heavy exercise...
Took me awhile to build up to this...what got me totally into the habit was going cold turkey on all other drinks (bar my morning coffee or tea!), and learning to listen to my thirst (often times we eat when actually our body is really saying "hydration please")...can take a while to hear that message, but once you do, you'll be "sweet"...!
I purchased an "infuser water bottle" for myself. It has a little container inside it that you can fill with fruit or herbs to flavor your water. It's great! I got mine online BPA free and found one that's 27 ounces, although there are plenty of smaller ones out there. Mine was about $15 with shipping. SUCH A GOOD PURCHASE.
Also, drinking 8-16oz in the morning before my coffee is essential because I have hydrated. Otherwise I end up too thirsty and tired from that at 9 or 10 am... takes a while to catch up.

Every night I fill my 64 oz water pitcher and put it in the fridge. The next morning I drink 8 oz and pour the rest in two insulated water bottles with ice. Water stays cold all day. It's easy to finish the bottles when they are near me.

Became hooked on soda water a few months ago. It feels so much more decadent. It's also great to take little trips to the grocery store when I run out... it ups my walking distance. :) I usually squirt a bit of lemon in my glass before filling it with soda water.... lemon is supposed to be alkalizing (paradoxically), which is supposedly good for you.
For me, it helps to have a very concrete, visual goal. My Nalgene bottle holds 4 cups (32 oz) of water, so I fill that up every morning. Once I get through it, I refill it and have to finish it by the end of the day.

I have a 32 oz water bottle that I carry with me everywhere. I drink a lot of water when working out right now, because it's blistering hot outside, and I run... so that gets me quite a bit of it. I also have a mini fridge in my room that I keep full of bottled water. My boyfriend often jokes that he drinks more water at my house than anywhere else because it's what's always in reach. I also carry around flavoring drops or packets for when I'm tired of just plain water, and I like infusing it with different fruits too. But I second the recommendations to keep a large bottle always on hand. When it's close by and you can see it, it's easier to think about drinking it.

I made it a challenge to drink 1 500mL bottle in the morning, and another in the evening. Then I got bigger bottles, 750mL and 1L. Still one in the morning, one in the evening. I thought it was easier than keeping the same size bottle and having to drink 3, or 4 of them daily.
I keep a bottle of water with me all the time! If you struggle with enjoying water you can try flavoring it with fresh fruit and herbs! That may help you drink more!

I haven't done the best lately but I always carry my water bottle with me wherever I go. I also have generic MiO so if I'm not in the mood for water I throw some of that in. Having fun waterbottles always helped me too:)

I know when I was working. I made sure to have 16 oz at breakfast, another for lunch and another at dinner, that gave me my 6. And then I started just keeping it full next to me. I seem to keep grabbing it and drinking just a little bit every few min.
My mission is to lose at least 77 pounds. I'm into this almost 7 weeks now and have lost 12 pounds so far. One of my biggest problems, however, is my water intake. I know I don't consume nearly as much as I need to.
My question to all you SparkPeople . . . What do you do to get your necessary water intake?
