If your test shows you have a bacterial infection going on, that is most likely it. A lower carb diet with fruits and veggies should not cause that much distress as with a diet full of fiber from grains. In addition, chills are not usually common with extra fiber in the diet, but with a bacteria infection. Take your Dr's advice and than go from there. Since I have significantly reduced the amount of grains in my diet, my GI distress is less.
