Me too, it starts in your mind and my mind changed in May 2011 and I said I want this fat off my body more then I want to eat, since then I have lost 40 pounds and have 20 to go. It starts in your mind, I still can't believe I was able to do this at age 61. But glory to God, He enabled me.

Great job I know battling cupcakes isn't for the faint of heart. those and others like them have been my achiles heel for years, I still have a tough time with emotional eating sweets, but as long as I recognize it and make a healthier choice I won't feel ant worse. Good job and keep up the good work

May I just say.....
I feel that feeling all the time, it took me to the age of 42 to turn my life around...I know they say 'better late then never' but I do wish I had realized it sooner because I feel incredible as well!
That is SO great - and something I need to really work on - getting to the point where it is second nature to me!

Sounds wonderful! Congratulations!
I started SP at 138 lbs in October 2010. My goal weight was supposed to be 125, which I reached on January 17, 2011. I have stayed at 125 (give or take a few pounds) ever since.

I just wanted to quickly get on this forum and say...I am amazed! Amazed that for the first time in my whole life, I have managed to stick with a healthy lifestyle. The internal fighting (most of the battles involve myself and a cupcake) has mostly diminished and I have gone from working really really hard to change my mindset to not really having to think a out it. Every day this lifestyle feels more natural to me. Every time that it occurs to me that this is getting smoother (never actually easy, but smoother) I sort if shake my head, and sometimes get a little teary. I am so happy that I have come this far! Today two clients cancelled in a row, leaving me with a four hour break downtown. Normally I would "treat" myself with a good book, and good food, full of calories. Today was a good book, and good food, but it was tea and a green salad with grilled shrimp! My how times have changed.
