Hi,

SparkPeople factors in an active daily living multiplier for steps taken outside of formal cardio workouts so tracking them in your cardio fitness tracker may hyperinflate your calories burn goal which could inflate your calorie range which could slow yoir progress.

2,000 step is usually a mile. A mile is usually between 80 and 100 calories.

It is not a good idea to track the calories burned from "steps all day". Those are already factored into your program.

For exercise you can get calories by entering it into the cardio tracker.

We were looking for an option that would give us steps and calories burned, is there a place for that?. We did set up the tracker, thanks for that info, to keep track of how may steps each day.

Hi,

If you go to your My Fitness Tracker and then click on the Fitness Setup button to the right of the date, this will bring you to another page so that you can add your Step Tracker to your fitness page.
