I also have GERD and found if I stay away from chocolate, cinnamon, coffee, pepperoni, sausage,onions, peppers and most Mexican food, I can eat just about anything, in moderation, of course.I never had a problem with dairy, but I only eat cheese and yogurt as dairy anyway. I I eat slow and moderately I can eat Italian (no pepperoni, Ital. sausage etc). Do not lay down for an hour at least after eating. Greasy food should be kept away from everyone!
In addition to doing a Google search for GERD ok recipes, she may want to check out some paleo diet recipes. I'm not a huge paleo advocate or anything, and they do use spices, but no grains and no dairy, so if she finds a log of paleo recipes, she may find something that sounds good that will suit your needs. Low-carb recipes searches may be helpful, too.

My wife is pleading with me to post. Ok, I have GERD, so my doctor wants me to stay away from dairy products, caffeine, citrus, fried food, garlic and onions, mint flavorings, spicy food, tomato based foods like chili, spaghetti and pizza. I work in the oil industry, so I can get pretty hungry!! I'm making a list of foods that don't agree with me. Can you help my wife out with some recipes or a book. She's at a loss!!
