My (adult) daughter just can't do breakfast so she has a glass of Kefir (a yogurt drink with probiotics) for breakfast.
Have you tried Chocolate Almond Milk? I find the dairy alternatives better than the original. Of course, I've never been a dairy milk person.
It is all about baby steps.

I often have pieces of fruit - *pieces*, not *whole fruit* - I have a really good yoghurt that has whole-grains in it (think oats, brown rice, pearl barley, buckwheat, quinoa and spelt), along with a little apricot. It is soooo yummy and more filling than the ordinary yoghurt. Anyway, I often dip some fruit (usually a piece of banana about the length of my finger) into it, like you would veges and cottage cheese or hummus. It is nice AND filling. I am sure that if THAT idea goes down well, you would be able to try that!

If veggies are not filling for you, do you like hummus? It has a lot of fiber and protein. I like to top it on my veggies to add some taste and add some protein that will help me stay full longer?

I'm facing the same problem today, and since I am stuck behind the computer in my office I am drinking water and doing 10 pushups every time I start walking towards the office fridge.
I love breakfast!! I just can't seem to wake up early enough to fix it before work. Getting kids ready, taking the dog out, and getting myself ready is a circus. I could get up 30 minutes earlier but man, that sleep sure is awesome! I feel like a slave to carbs sometimes. Finding protein in a low calorie package that is satisfying seems to elude me. I keep yogurts and low cal cheese sticks, with some nuts. But the serving size isn't very filling for me. Plus I'm not a raw veggie eater.. I try..I really do, but unless there's some dressing or a sandwhich involved, I can't eat em'. I'm doing better though.

One change that might help you would be to really carefully balance out your nutrients throughout the day...and be sure to eat something every 2 -3 hours. It doesn't have to be much (15 g of carb and some protein...example: a small yogurt, or nuts and fruit) but it really helps.
I took a quick peek at your tracker too.... I know some folks aren't Breakfast people by nature (I have a son that way!!)....but possibly yours would last you longer if you had a bit more filling breakfast. Replace the Chocolate milk (I know--I love it too!) with whole grain cereal and a smaller serving of milk, along with a hard boiled egg or some cheese even....
I don't know what your Spark Calorie Range is, but always (!) strive to be above 1200 calories for each day. Perhaps to start with, try the very top of your range... then in about two weeks drop towards the middle of your range. Best Wishes, patti
Thanks for all the great advice!! I had a slice of thin crust cheese pizza and a big ol' salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. I think I'm just having a battle of the minds between my old mindset and my new one. Then I went and weeded my garden to distract myself..that is a huge workout in itself..I was a sweat machine. I may up my calorie intake just bit to give myself some wiggle room though.. It's like you said BABY STEPS..lol.

When I have days like that I snack on lots of vegetables. It may be that you're just thinking of food too much. Maybe you could try to distract yourself.

Hi Kris - I'm another Kris :-)
There could be a few things going on.
* It is possible that you aren't starting the day with a good, well-balanced breakfast.
* Are you eating ALL of your meals (very important to prevent hunger)
* Are you eating enough calories to meet your needs. Remember, when you exercise, you need to eat more than if you are sedentary.
* Are you drinking sodas etc. that are taking up the calories but not the nutrition?
* Are you eating plenty of fibre-rich foods from things like fruit and veges? (Think 5+ servings in a day - more is better.
* Are you getting ENOUGH protein and healthy fats?
* Did you drop your calories suddenly? This is a common one. I had to go back up with mine because I was not only starving, but suffered nausea and light-headedness as well, and even go woken during the night with hunger pain, headaches and nausea. I dropped the calories back down in small increments - BABY steps - of about 50 cal's giving my body time to adjust before dropping further.

try munching on either a dill pickle or black olives both are low calorie or try ice chips sometimes they work especially if your just bored and not really hungry
I'm starving today!! I want to just eat and eat.. So far I have resisted temptation, but I feel my will power shrinking. I've been drinking tons of water and I have had protein. I've eaten very well today, in fact, I have been doing great. I just started back two weeks ago trying to eat better and be active. It seems like this is the thing that always does me in. Any advice on how you guys pushed through it.
