Welcome! I know it can be really hard to stay motivated. Start a SparkPage and blog about your experiences. Track and set goals to keep you accountable and remind you of what you want to do. Most importantly, get active in the community by joining SparkTeams. There are many teams out there and you are sure to find some that fit your lifestyle, interests and goals. They are great sources of friendship, motivation, support, and accountability.

Good luck! You can do it!

My name is Debbie. I'm 40, married with three young school-aged children, and work full time. I am currently 243 lbs, and my goal weight is 147 lbs by Easter next year (April 20, 2014).
After seeing a picture of myself at an office party, I knew I was way overdue for a change. I started here Easter weekend, and am very happy being able to track my food intake, exercise intake, and especially my water intake (something I hadn't ever done before).

My husband isn't very supportive of me trying to lose weight since it means some exercise time I'll be away from the kids, and he'll have to help out watching them. I don't want to get discouraged, it's happened before, and I don't/can't let it happen again. I love myself, but I don't love the way I look, and I want that aspect of me to change.

I'm mostly looking for success tips, how to stay away from getting discouraged, and others stay motivated.

Thanks!
Debbie
