I'm reading "The Diabetes Diet" since I have Insulin Resistance/Metabolic Syndrome. Richard Bernstein MD says that most obese people can benefit from taking Metformin which helps the cells take up Insulin. He has a whole chapter in his book "The Diabetes Solution" on PCOS which he says many young woman have who are obese and they have a difficult time trying to lose weight. He has lectures on YouTube and he is very interesting. He is 78 and has had Type 1 diabetes since he was 12. He uses a low carb diet.

Seeems as though my body is at a stand still. I have been working out 3 to 4 times a week, and sometimes twice a day. I am doing aerobics, weights, cycling, and yoga, and eating healthy, counting calories, reading back of products for nutritional value. My weight loss is minimum. I think that I need something to jumpstart my metabolism or something.
