extra workouts do help. Any way you can fit extra in is helping. I walk to town to pay bills. I take the stairs when I can. I have been known to put on music and dance around the house. I do this on top of my workouts. It all adds up........

I keep a set of hand weights in every room so wherever my baby falls asleep or is content playing by himself I can do a quick set of something.

I make the beds daily, put away dishes from the dishwasher, do squats while fixing my hair, do a truck load of laundry, hand them up go up and down stairs multiple trips daily, take out recycables, trash, go to my mailbox and pet my dogs every c hance I get. I work out with my patients in my job as a therapist. It may not sound like much but it helps.

I take just one pile of laundry at a time up and down the stairs instead of trying to take it all at once. I also bring in just one or two bags of groceries at a time so that I have to make extra trips back and forth. And I park far away from the stores, and always return my cart. I also run around with my dogs- they have much more energy than I do! :-)

I workout at the gym for 60 minutes per day (classes or training). However I add extra movement by cooking all meals. I walk to the grocery store or farmer's market to get produce 2 or 3 times a week. I keep my pantry on either side of my car in the garage area. I go up and down steps with groceries and laundry. I am decluttering my house and do 15 minutes each day on that task. That often includes a walk to Goodwill with items (use a shopping cart to move the items).
