I've started peppers inside already, and will be planting tomato seeds this weekend. I've expanded my garden this year so I'm excited to see how it goes. Last year I over planted tomatoes and they took over everything. My son is excited that we are going to plant strawberries this year. We are also adding squash and spinach. He isn't as excited about those :)

Garden catalogs are arriving and I am really anxious for spring already. Want to grow more herbs this summer.

In Ottawa, I don't plant anything until Mother's Day as we have been known to have freak snowstorms in April.

We are going to plant okra, otherwise known as ladies fingers!

We have already bought the seeds!

I am starting to get gardening catalogs and I am itching to start planning. I am in a different city than I was last year though, so I will have to secure a new community garden plot before I can get started.

It looks like I will have less space to work with this year, so I am going to have to pare down my gardening a lot. Likely potatoes, corn and sweet potatoes will not be on the agenda this year since they take up a lot of space and are inexpensive to buy. I hope to grow a LOT more tomatoes this year.

it's a nice time to start planning what to plant and when to start growing plants indoors. I have collect containers and have a variety of seeds. All i need is a 4 foot florescent light.
I planted 20 maple trees at a local park last fall along with some seeds from various plants i have growing in the back yard. It will be interesting to see how well they grow
