I have been on spark since Nov 2. At first I thought well thanks for the trophy... Then I realized when I did something on this site I could get rewarded with points. I didn't know what I was suppose to do with them either but have learned I can give them to my friends and even myself.. It is motivational for me because it challenges me to get those points and do everything I can on the site daily...
OMG This is hilarious. It's like some people didn't even read her question. They're just listing sparkpoints I guess they got from their wheel spin today. This is my probably too long answer: I have SP mail geared to come to my Outlook mailbox. I check all that first. I read the posts and articles, and I get sparkpoints for that. Then I go to my SparkPoints page and starting at the bottom, I work my way up. If I can get through the whole page in one sitting, I do. And boy, howdy, I learn and I have fun, I play trivia, take polls, read people's blogs, and on and on. I would have never known about any of this without the SparkPoint page. And then the cherry on the top is that as I am reading other people's blogs and I see how hard they've worked or that they are sad and need a lift, I can buy them a SparkGoodie and hopefully make their day a little better. I know I like getting one myself. So throw those SparkGoodies out there because the other secret is that giving them makes the giver feel pretty good, too.
I love spark points too and I find them really motivational. Today I didn't feel like exercising but what helped me "just do it" was that fact that the long workout I had planned would give me lots of points. When I don't earn many points on the wheel I immediately start working out how I can earn extra to make up for it. My family would say I am sad but I think whatever motivates you has to be good.
