The size of the can could also be a factor??? It is always best to include an ounce weight for the can (for example 15 ounce can)

I have not made the recipe, but I checked it out and the recipe creator has different amounts of the ingredients listed in the tracker than they list on the recipe page (1 cup of each bean instead of 2 cans of each bean). To see what someone has entered into the tracker for each recipe, click on"create recipe makeover." This will allow you to see what they entered to be tracked for the recipe. hope this helps :)

Did you break up the portions differently? If it's not a portion size issue, the only other thing I can spot is the meat - to me, extra-lean generally means 97-99% fat-free, not 93%, and that could be making the difference in the calorie count.

I found the recipe for 3 Bean Taco Soup at Sparkpeople recipes and it was SO AMAZING! I would totally give it 5 stars. My only concern is the nutrition information. It shows only 127 calories and when I made it with the same ingredients (different brands), same amount of servings, calculation was 240 calories. I used the sparkpeople recipe calculator. Has anyone else used this recipe? I am just trying to get an accurate total. The ingredients are:

1 lb extra lean ground beef (I used 93% lean)
2 cans of black beans
2 cans of kidney beans
2 cans of pinto beans
1 pckg of taco seasoning
1 pckg of ranch dressing mix (I left this out - not a fan of ranch)

I realize using different brands will have different results but I did not expect it to be a 100 calorie difference.
