I avoid soy unless it's fermented and organic (non GMO). Soy may have negative effects on thyroid function and hormonal health.
Soy contains "isoflavones" which are changed in the body to "phytoestrogens," which are similar to the hormone estrogen. -- As an older female, I don't need more estrogen. (And males do NOT need more estrogen.)

I'm having a bit of a dilemma. I love soya milk, but I've heard a lot of things about it being really bad for you. I was watching a TV show that went into the details but my memory's quite bad! What do you guys think?
