It has to be so hard to have to hear a Doctor give you this bad news, but sometimes that is what gets the ball rolling. In addition to inspiration from sparkpeople, I also found the movie Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead inspiring, although I don't totally agree with his method it did go to show the significance dietary changes can have on chronic health conditions. I tried to add you as a friend but I cannot do it since you do not have a Spark page. I suggest that you make a Spark page and ask for friends.

Spark friends are very important for support.

I have a dreadful metabolism and could not lose weight at all.
However, I found great ideas to help me and i am now wearing clothes that are in size medium and small.

You can friend me if you wish. I will add you as a friend as well.

Look up INDYGIRL's spark page. She was over 400 pounds and lost over 200 pounds. She had many health problems and after losing the weight, some have resolved. She is a great inspiration to me and many others. Welcome to Spark, this a great place to be. Suje

Yoga and meditation is definitely something I can work on NOW. Before, I was in a situation where I was never alone...with family living with us and needing me for everything. But, my husband and I just recently moved from East TN all the way to coastal TX and it's now just the two of us for the first time ever!

I definitely need to look more into the "teams". I don't understand them just yet...still working my way thru this site trying to understand all I can. I will definitely check them out.

Welcome! Don't give up, nothing is ever impossible you just need to find what works for you! Have you tried some light yoga and meditation? I find it's super helpful with dealing with the plethora of thoughts that bombard the brain at times and lowers my stress levels. You don't even have to do the poses, just sit and breathe and wash out all the negative thoughts emoticon You're husband will understand, just tell him what you told us. If you need to talk you know where to find all of us!

Thank you so much! I'm up at 4am sitting here thinking of a way to have a sit down with my husband and explain to him that I need some me time to be able to try to get things under control. I honestly didn't think anyone would respond. I so appreciate that you did and the words you sent.

Hi All,
I'm at my all time worse in health issues and my all time highest in weight. Needless to say, I'm scared. I have tried so many ways to lose this weight...knowing it's killing me. But, I have doctors that say work out and doctors that say don't. I have one doc who fits inbetween so I'm listening to him. I'm in constant pain from one thing or another. I have Diastolic Heart Disfunction due to undiagnosed severe sleep apnea. It wasn't until I just couldn't catch my breath any longer before they found both issues. I feel my body trying to shut down on me...but I've got to fight. My husband doesn't understand. He doesn't want to. That way he doesn't have to see what is really going on, but then he gets frustrated with me when I'm not able to do things he thinks I should be able to do. I stay in constant stress over this. I'm too young for all that I feel going wrong in my body. I have to do something about it. But, I stay feeling sick, wore out, and in pain constantly and it's just so hard! Thank you for listening. I have no one to talk to about this. emoticon
