It helped me to learn that higher calorie periods of time can actually help with weight loss - we don't settle into a plateau if our calories consumed and calories burned fluctuate some. More calories some days than others, more exercise some days than others, keeps our metabolism guessing and that's a good thing. I hope you are well soon!

Good reminder. Things happen. Life happens. It's always something. There is NEVER anything good that comes from beating yourself up. Just learn from it and move on to try and do better.
The biggest thing ... don't ever give up. That's the only true failure! We all have bad days, bad weeks ...

This is true; I've gone up a few pounds since my weigh-in last Saturday, but oh well... I'll get back and I'm not going to stress about it because I know why it happened. It isn't a linear path; some days and weeks are better than others, so we all just have to keep going along :)
I didn't eat well today and haven't done spectacularly lately at all, really. But such is life. I found out today that I have a kidney infection. I think I have really been suffering most of the week. I need to just let this week go, and do better when I feel better. I will continue to track and exercise as my body allows, but getting better is more important than weight loss. I just wanted to send along a word of advice to all. When you have a bad day, it is ok to analyze why, but don't forget to let it go. This advice is as much for me as it is for all of you.
