Hi there, my name is Jes and I'm basically a SAHM who is also a proud owner of a small California struggling business. :) I am 33 and hubby and I are celebrating 16 years of marriage in June and we have two beautiful daughters (10 & 12)a beautiful spoiled pug and the sweetest pekinese you'd ever meet.

This is my umpteenth time joining sparkpeople but this time my mindset is different. I don't wanna lose 75lbs like what the doctors say I should be, I'm setting my 1st goal to 160. I can't remember when I've seen the 160's. I was a skinny kid but being happily married in my late teens was a good reason to stop taking care of myself.

Now my girls are older, it's time to get myself together. Not only for me but for them. It's very awesome that my girls are happy with their own body images (my 12 year old is built for a kid, lol) and my 10 year old is a little skinny minnie. I tell them it's more than what you weigh it's how you feel about yourself.

For me, I'm just tired of my clothes being to tight and wearing sweaters always to hide my trouble spots and sweat pants because I don't like being uncomfortable and to be able to catch my hubby's eye (in a good way not because we've been together forever) and to just FINALLY LIKE ME oh and not to lie on my drivers license weight anymore! :)

I hope to make some friends here and to make sparkpeople my ultimate resource to improve my life!
