I agree that the portions have a lot to do with it, but also the fact that your meals had a lot of fruits and veggies. When reading about your breakfast burritos, I kept thinking "what, no cheese!"

Sounds like a yummy day of eating to me, and I love that you were able to get in some "treats" with the red wine and choc all while staying in your range!

Good point! Real food ... I remember (way back in the olden days of a week ago ... LOL) when I'd eat something junky that was loaded with calories and no nutrition and then be ravenous a short time after. This morning I was realizing how much energy I have. Funny thing: you give your body what it needs and it likes it! :)

Oh, yes, Maggie! I got in 1380 by having 3 oz of red wine and 1/2 Hershey's bar! It's great to not deprive myself, yet not feel stuffed (and sabotaging myself) by overindulging.

Just be make sure you make your 1200 calories eating below it will not help your weight loss and it could very well slow your metabolism. But I agree cooking and portions make a world of difference

Wow! I can't believe how much I ate today and am not even at 1200 calories yet.

Today I had:

Breakfast: 2 breakfast burritos w/mushrooms, tomatoes and refried beans

Snack: A huge fruit salad w/nonfat yogurt and cinnamon

Lunch: Hearty Tuscan bean soup with 5 saltines

Grilled chicken, corn on cob w/butter, baked beans and potato salad

It's all in the portions! And how it's prepared. Amazing.
