Congratulations! I'm curious what you see as the most important changes you have made to your lifestyle so far. Diet? Exercise? Keeping track of calories? New recipes?

Congratulations! I like the comment about that being your first goal and then you'll have to set the next one. It is a journey. Who knows where it will lead you and how you'll transform along the way.

emoticon job! I too was thinking about that the other day as I was carrying 2 large jugs of bottled water. It was no small feat, yet I knew people who carry around that much extra weight all of the time. It's sad that many people cannot lift just one of those 5 gallon jugs and put them on the cooler, yet they think nothing of carrying the 35 pounds (5 gal = 35 pt = 35 lbs) of fat around their waist.

Congratulations emoticon emoticon I guess when you realize how much weight it was that you were carrying it makes a big change in our attitudes. I can't wait until i can realize it.

I have lost 34lbs since I first started my weight loss challenge back in September. I have 35 more to go and I feel as though Im at a plateau - what did you do to get past any plateau times?

I'm not a regular to the message boards, but I weighed in this week and am so happy I have to share. I have crossed the 45lbs-lost line this week and I can't believe it! And it was so much easier than I ever thought it would be. Just tracking my calorie intake every day has taught me so much....and made me realize how much I was eating before.

So, I started much is 45lbs?
- About one large bag of dog food
- About 5 gallons of milk
- An average 6 year old

I can't believe that I was carrying around the weight of these items with me every day! It also makes me realize how much more I need to loose.

So, I'll keep going to reach my "1st" goal...only 33 lbs more to go! Then I need to set my next goal.
